Overview

A medical education is expensive. More expensive than ever before. Fortunately, Duke has an excellent financial aid program that offers merit scholarships, need-based grants and loan programs. Our students graduate with one of the lowest levels of indebtedness among students at any medical school. Our Class of 2007 graduated with an average debt of $95,886, compared to a mean debt of $156,804 at private medical schools nationally. Our median was $93,976 compared to the national median for private schools of $166,913. That's even less than the median debt for students at public medical schools ($132,000).
